Super United Sports (SUS) has won the first match in the Dhivehi Premier League qualifications.

SUS was pushed into playing the qualification round after falling to the seventh spot in the Dhivehi Premier League table.

The team won the first game of the qualifications round after beating Buru Sports Club 2 – 0.

SUS scored both goals in the second half of the game. The team’s first goal was scored by Ahmed Hameed in the 50th minute. The second and last goal for SUS was scored by Aiham Ahmed in the additional time played in the game.

The four teams competing in the qualifications are SUS, Buru, Da Grande and Club Teenage.

Club Teenage and Da Grande went head-to-head in the second qualifiers game on Wednesday evening.

The two teams who stand a chance to play in the Dhivehi Premier League of the next season are the two teams that attain the highest number of points in the league round amongst the four teams.
