Maldives’ fastest man Hassan Saaid has claimed bronze in the 100 meter run in the Asian Grand Prix.

He claimed the bronze running against athletes from China, Hong Kong, India and Sri Lanka.

China’s Hai Young Zu won the gold by finishing the race in 10 minutes 35 seconds, while Indonesia’s Yuspie Bobby came in second to claim silver with a time of 10 minutes 39 seconds. Only a mere second separated Bobby and Saaid.

 

 

Nineteen Asian nations contested in this year’s prix. Saaid only participated in the 100-meter dash. Twelve athletes from 10 nations ran in the 100-meter race.

Saaid had also contested in the semi-finals of the Asian Games in South Korea. He won the gold in 2015’s Indian Ocean Island Games, competing in the 100-meter dash.
