Da Grande has secured its second point in the ongoing Dhivehi Premier League (DPL), after tying with Green Streets in Wednesday’s game.
Da Grande, which falls to the bottom of the league table, will remain so for the remainder of the league.
The team went head-to-head with Green Streets on Wednesday night and tied 1 – 1.
Although Da Grande took the lead 17 minutes into the game with a score by Hugo Nicholas, Green tied the score with a goal by captain Rilwan Waheed.
Green Streets lost its one chance to move up the table to the third spot with this result. The team currently has 27 points.
Both teams have one remaining game each, in the league.
The remaining league matches are scheduled for July 31 and August 1.
Although the top third and fourth teams are yet to be confirmed, the first and second spot as well as seventh and eighth have been claimed.
