Hulhudhoo Harbor Development Project sees 83 percent progress
Construction of quay wall is now completed
S. Hulhudhoo Harbor Development Project
Work on design and build of S. Hulhudhoo Harbor Development Project is well underway, states Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC).
MTCC states that overall 83 percent of the project is now completed. As such, they highlight the completion of construction of quay wall.
Moreover, the company is currently working on the harbor bridge.
The scope of Hulhudhoo Harbour project includes; dredging and excavation of 88,623cbm, construction of 114m break water, construction of 624m revetment , construction of a 742m quay wall as well as harbor pavements of 2,250sqm. Additionally, MTCC will also be installing of navigation aids, streetlights and constructing a ramp for landing craft, as well as a harbor bridge.
The project was awarded to MTCC by the Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure on 1st March 2020. The value of the project is MVR 66.3 million and is to be completed within 375 days.
