Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulla Shahid has expressed his commitment to continue working closely with the government of Mauritania to further boost cooperation between the two countries. The Maldivian Minister sent a message congratulating the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation and Mauritanians Abroad of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, Dr. Mohamed Salem Ould Maerzoug following his appointment, on Wednesday.

In his message, FM Shahid revealed joy in conveying his warmest congratulations on the Mauritania minister’s appointment.

With this being said, he expressed keen interest to work closely with Dr. Maerzoug and the government of Mauritania to further enhance cooperation between the two countries.

Further, FM Shahid expressed best wishes for his Mauritanian counterpart’s well-being as well as for the continued progress and prosperity for the people of Mauritania.
