The Design and build of ADh. Hangnaameedhoo harbor development project has reached 72 percent progress.

Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) revealed that the work to design and build the harbor of Hangnaameedhoo island in Alif Dhaal island is well underway.

As such, the fifth shipment or precast concrete blocks required for quay wall construction was delivered to the site of the project on Sunday.

Under the scope of the project, MTCC is required to dredge and excavate 6,363.1 cubic meters, construct a breakwater measuring 204 meters and a quay wall measuring 266 meters.

Further, the company is also required to install a pavement measuring 1,330 square meters, a revetment stretching up to 160 meters and streetlights.

The project is valued at MVR 29.1 million
