A 22-year-old man has fallen victim to gang violence in Maldives capital, Malé City.
Maldives Police Service (MPS) revealed that they received reports of the assault at 8:21am on Friday.
The victim has been identified as a 22-year-old Maldivian man who was attacked on the streets of the congested capital city.
He has since been taken for treatment to his injuries, to ADK Hospital.
Further details regarding his current condition have not been disclosed.
Circulating pictures of the region show the area splattered in blood.
Police officers are currently active in the region and further investigations are currently underway.
