B. Eydhafushi is no longer under monitoring.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) had placed the island under monitoring on the 16th of August and lifted the measures established on 22nd August at 01:26pm.

HPA stated that they had lifted the monitoring measures put in place under Section 12 of the Public Health Protection Act as there was no reason to prolong the island’s monitoring period.

Although the island is no longer under monitoring, the island’s council has advised all islanders to follow the protocols set by HPA for the safety of the entire community. According to the statistics publicized by the council, only one person tested positive on the 21st of August and out of the 393 persons who tested positive, 313 have recovered.

A lot of clusters have recently been observed within Atolls while the cases in the Greater Male’ Area are declining.
