19 individuals have completed AFC’s “C” License Coaching Course.
The course was carried out from May 1 to May 14, in association with the Football Association of Maldives (FAM).
Speaking to RaajjeMV, FAM’s General Secretary Hussain Jawaz said that a total of 20 individuals took part in the course, and that 19 completed it.
The course was conducted by experienced international trainers, as well as Mohamed Shaazlee, a local coach with an AFC “A” License. In addition, Ahmed Shareef acted as a coordinator.
Shareef said that the course “was a complete success”, adding that a number of former players and coaches took part in the course.
Noting that there was only one female coach took part, Shareef said that it is important to create more female players “in order to further advance the sport in the country”.
“I hope more women take part in such courses in the future”, he added.
FAM is currently preparing to conduct another “C” License Coaching Course in September.
