Viewers will be given the full Euro experience Raajje TV, as the station will be conducting special pre-game, half-time and post-game coverage for matches of Euro 2020 with the best football analysts in the country.

Raajje TV made the bold decision to purchase exclusive local broadcasting rights for Euro 2020 at a time the Maldives' economy has been hit hard by the effects of the global Covid-19 pandemic. Raajje TV's management committed to securing exclusive rights for Euro 2020 as it reflects the station's mission to amplify voices of and support the sporting community in the Maldives. As many citizens will be confined to their homes due to Covid-19 health and safety restrictions while the nation battles a surge in Covid-19 cases, Raajje TV will be working around the clock to provide viewers a well-rounded coverage for Europe's biggest football championship.

In considering the limitations football fans may face in enjoying Euro 2020 in a traditional manner, Raajje TV will be airing in-depth analysis of matches alongside a well-rounded coverage so that citizens of Maldives will be able to achieve the full Euro experience from home.

Raajje TV is delighted to announce that this decision was made with youth, sporting enthusiasts and all citizens of Maldives in mind, amid a new normal filled with difficult challenges due to Covid-19.

This is not the first time Raajje TV will be bringing the Euro experience to audiences in Maldives. The station had previously broadcasted the Euro 2016 tournament held in France, and the coverage had been very popular among viewers then as well.

With Euro 2020 ready to kick-off in 2021, it can be noted that the championship had been postponed by a year due to risks associated with the global Covid-19 pandemic. Despite this delay, the tournament will still be titled "Euro 2020" as teams prepare to battle it out for the coveted Euro trophy after five years.

The Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) have decided that this year's championship for the continent will be played across 11 different European countries, in 11 distinct cities.

The kick-off match for Euro 2020 will be held in Rome, Italy at the Olympic Stadium, wih the semi-final and final matches for the championship scheduled to be held at the Wembley Stadium in London, UK.

The decision to have Euro 2020 matches span the European continent had been made to mark the 60 year anniversary of one of the world's most viewed football championships.

Euro 2016 champions Portugal will be contesting in this year's tournament, along with world football champions France. Euro 2020 will also introduce the Video Assistant Referee (VAR), which will be employed to ensure fairness in decisions made throughout the highly competitive matches between Europe's best football teams.
