Ministry of Youth, Sports and Community Empowerment has made arrangements for expatriate workers to enjoy the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2019, without gathering on the streets.

In a tweet posted on Tuesday, the minister said that they are looking for a space to “set up a big screen” and that discussions have already been held with Planning Minister Mohamed Aslam.

The minister added that they are “working closely with the embassies on this issue.”

While a number of foreign workers are seen on the streets, outside cafés and restaurants in the capital city, to watch these matches, the ministry said that it was made aware of the situation via social media.
