The SUS-Maziya match ended in a draw on Saturday

Super United Sports (SUS) and Maziya Sports Club settled for a goalless draw in Saturday night's match for the Dhiraagu Dhivehi Premier League (DDPL), with TC Sports Club securing a win over UV to climb to fifth position on the point table.

The SUS versus Maziya match ended in a goalless draw on Saturday night, in a game dotted with missed opportunities at goal for both teams. The first half saw both teams evenly marched, with strong defensive play succeeding in keeping the score flat into the second half. Maziya approached the game with two subsititutions in the second half, but failed to score a single goal, despite a valiant last-minute effort by Ibrahim Aslam being defended by the SUS goalkeeper, who was on top form throughout the match.

Speaking to the press after the match, Coach Mohamed Shiyaz (Mohan) said that SUS had won one point from the confrontation as a result of hard work, and that he was satisfied with his team's performance against a giant like Maziya.

Maziya's Coach Risto Vidakovic said that while SUS had played a very defensive game, luck had not been on their side in turning opportunities into goals during the match. However, he acknowledged the effort of Maziya players in their confrontation against SUS.

The match between TC Sports Club and United Victory (UV), also took place on Saturday, with TC securing a 2-0 win over UV despite both teams going neck-and-neck during the match. TC had secured the lead in the first half, and had proceeded to amp up their attack in the second half of the game. TC's first goal was a penalty, scored in the 32nd minute of the match by Azzam. Their second goal came in the second half, also scored by Azzam, who displayed top-tier performance throughout the game.

Speaking to the press after the match, TC's Coach Mohamed Nizam (Nizambe) stated that he was very satisfied with the performance of TC's young players, and that they had succeeded in boosting the team's motivation with the three points secured from the match.

UV's Coach Ihusan Abdul Ghani (Saanthi) stated that UV had played well, and that the two goals conceded in the match were because of mistakes. He added that his team would now need to prepare for relegation at this point in the DDPL.

With the results of Saturday's matches, Maziya retains their top spot on the DDPL point table with 25 points from 11 matches. Club Valencia still holds the second slot with 18 points from 10 matches, and SUS trails in 6th with 12 points from 11 matches played. TC has climbed to the 5th spot on the point table with 12 points from 11 matches played over Club Eagles, who have the same number of points, based on goal difference. UV comes last on the table as of now, with three points secured from 11 matches played in the DDPL.
