A fire was reported from Hulhumale' Phase II on Tuesday morning.
Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) said that the fire was reported at around 11:08am.
Noting that the incident was reported from an expatriate accommodation block near the Hiyaa housing project, MNDF said that a Fire and Rescue team was dispatched to the scene immediately.
The fire was controlled by 11:39am.
While MNDF said that the accommodation block was damaged in the fire, it did not disclose the extent of the fire or its cause.
No injuries were reported.
