Mohamed Shiyaz, popularly known as Mohan, is set to leave Eagles after two years of coaching

The agreement between Club Eagles and Mohamed "Mohan" Shiyaz has been dissolved mutually in a difficult season for the team, with Mohan making his departure after two years of coaching.

Eagles announced Mohan was leaving the team on their official Facebook page on Saturday following a mutual agreement to annul his contract. Club Eagles has had a difficult season in the Dhiraagu Dhivehi Premier League (DDPL), managing just one victory and one draw out of the six matches they have played thus far in the league.

Eagles is currently placed second-to-last on the table with only four points.

In the statement posted by Club Eagles, they revealed that discussions with Mohan about his future at the club had concluded with both parties agreeing that the best way to move forward would be to dissolve his contract.

Club Eagles expressed sincere gratitude for Mohan's services during his time as coach for the team. Eagles were able to win second place in last two seasons of the DDPL under Mohan's guidance, and had secured a spot in the playoffs for the first time in this year's AFC Cup.

They had qualified for the AFC Cup as they had been second place in the DDPL last year when the AFC cup had been cancelled. Mohan also led the team to their first claiming of the Charity Shield during his time as coach.

Mohan, who has an AFC Pro License, the highest coaching license awarded to coaches of football, is the second coach to leave Club Eagles this season. Maziya's coach Mohamed Nizam also decided to discontinue his contract with Eagles after the disappointing results from the season's first four games.
