Club Eagles has ended the second round of the ongoing Dhiraagu Dhivehi Premier League with an effortless win against defending champion TC Sports Club.

Eagles team won the match 3 – 0.

While both teams showed equally good performance into the beginning of the match, eagles players took the lead after scoring its first goals, minutes into the game.

With the leading goal by Eagles, TC players strengthened its attacks, however, player Mohamed Saad Nizar was given the red card at the 18th minute of the game for a foul.

Eagles led the first half of the match 1 – 0.

Ali Fasir from Eagles scored the team’s second goal minutes into the second half. Although TC’s Ishan Ibrahim got an excellent chance to score at the 67th minute, his attempt went down the drains.

At the 69th minute, TC’s Akram Abdul Ghanee directed an excellent score attempt, which was thwarted by Eagles’ goal keeper.

The last goal for Eagles was scored by Hassan Nazeem at the 90th minute.

Speaking after the match, TC’s coach Shaazlee stated that the team had targeted for three points through the match, but luck was not on their side.

Expressing satisfaction with the score, Eagles’ coach Mohamed Siyaz stated that the team aims to maintain the lead on the points table after beating TC during the first match of the third round.

While Maziya tops the points table with 41 points, Club Eagles comes second with 30 points with TC at its tail with 28 points.
