Maldives Covid-19 death toll has risen to 48.
The Health Protection Agency (HPA) made the reveal via Twitter on Friday afternoon, noting that deceased is a 69-year-old Maldivian man who was admitted at the 11th floor of Dharumavantha Hospital.
The man passed away while received treatment, at 9:34am.
The 47th coronavirus-related death was reported on December 1, when a 75-year-old Maldivian man passed away early morning while receiving treatment at the Hulhumalé Medical Facility.
The public health authority reported 34 new infections and 30 additional recoveries from the virus on Thursday, bringing the Covid-19 tally in Maldives to 13,308 whereas recoveries sit at 12,621.
