Maldives reported 52 new coronavirus cases on Tuesday.

The cases are from the 1,851 samples tested within 24 hours, and 45 of the cases are from the greater Male’ region while the remaining are from operational resorts.

Tuesday’s cases push the country’s total case count to 12,810.

There are currently 1,097 active Covid-19 cases in the island nation, including 14 across 14 residential islands and 298 cases across 32 operational resorts.

With an additional 45 recoveries reported, total recoveries sit at 11,660. The country has seen 46 deaths from the virus.

95 patients are receiving treatment at hospitals, three more than the previous day.
