Maldives has reported the 41st death from the ongoing global Covid-19 pandemic.

The Health Protection Agency (HPA) revealed that deceased is a 45-year-old Maldivian woman who was admitted at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Hulhumalé Medical Facility. She is to have passed away at 2:38pm on Tuesday.

While an 88-year old Covid-19 patient died from complications on Friday, it was followed by another death from the pandemic on Sunday when an expatriate aged 43, was pronounced dead upon arrival at Hulhumalé Hospital.

The 41st death from the pandemic is the second death to the infection to have been reported this week.
