Maldives reports 12th Covid-19 death

Maldives has confirmed another Covid-19 related death, early Monday.
The Health Protection Agency (HPA) revealed that an 80-year-old Maldivian man who was being treated for the virus at the 11th floor of Dharumavantha Hospital, succumbed to the infection at 4:35 am on Monday.
This is the 12th death reported from the Maldives in connection to the global pandemic.
Covid-19 related deaths have been reported more frequently of late, with the latest death having been reported on Sunday morning.
As such, the 11th death was reported on Sunday, when a 77-year-old Maldivian woman passed away at 1:52 am.
She passed away while receiving treatment at the 11th floor of the Dharumavantha Hospital as well.
