MTCC completes 56% of road development project in L. Fonadhoo

Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has completed 56% of the construction and development of major roads in Fonadhoo island in Laamu atoll.
Under the project, which was contracted to the company on May 22, 2019, MTCC will be laying asphalt along 12 roads measuring an area of 27,848 square meters, the total length reaching 3.5 kilo meters,
The project was mobilized on June 26, 2019 and is expected to be completed within 390 days.
Under the scope of the project, MTCC is tasked with including a stormwater management system which is expected to help mitigate floods for the island as well as protecting property due to floods.
Further, MTCC will be constructing speed breakers and road markings of 13,702 meters.
