Waste Management Corporation (WAMCO) workers will be collecting waste from within the ground floor of households within the Greater Malé Region.
In a publication on Sunday, WAMCO revealed that they have amended their household waste collection services in light of the measures being implemented by the government under the “new normal”.
As such, WAMCO teams will be collecting waste from the ground floor of households until August 1.
The timings for waste collection are set from 12pm to 2pm and is application for households in the Greater Malé Region, said the corporation.
WAMCO has urged all households to make arrangements for their teams to easily access waste and for households under monitoring to follow the instructions set by the Health Protection Agency (HPA).
WAMCO revealed that the “strength and resilience” of their teams have allowed them to deliver continuous and uninterrupted service to customers, communities, and partners during this unprecedented time.
They went on to express gratitude for the people for the support received within the past few weeks.
