Maldives Police Service (MPS) has denied rumors on social media about WAMCO.
In a tweet posted in Dhivehi regarding the rumors about Waste Management Corporation (WAMCO), Police said those rumors are baseless and that there were no reports to that nature.
Social media has been abuzz with stories that individuals dressed in WAMCO uniforms had threatened citizens with knives and mugged them.
Police said no reports of that nature had been filed.
