Police are investigating sexual assault allegations against a Quran teacher.
Confirming this, the police said that the case against a man who runs private Quran classes was reported from an island in the northern province. Further details of such cases involving children, such as specific island, are not publicized.
The case, accusing the 28-year-old man of sexually assaulting underage boys, was filed at the police on Saturday.
While police continue to investigate the case, they have yet to make an arrest.
The police also stressed that cases involving children are treated as ‘serious’ crimes.
