Maldives confirms two new Covid-19 cases, recoveries surpass 800
Only two new cases confirmed between 6pm Saturday to 6pm Sunday; both locals
This brings the country’s total case count to 1,903
827 patients have recovered in the country thus far

Only two new Covid-19 cases were reported in the Maldives on Sunday, while an additional 64 patients have recovered from the virus.

The Health Protection Agency (HPA) tweeted that only two cases were confirmed between 6pm Saturday to 6pm Sunday, adding that the two are locals.

This brings the country’s total case count to 1,903.

While an additional 64 people having recovered from the infection, a total of 827 patients have recovered in the country thus far. The current recovery rate is at 43.46 percent, according to the Health Ministry's Covid-19 Dashboard.

There are 1,066 active cases currently, and the country has confirmed eight Covid-19 related deaths.
