Ministry initiates project to supply 500 thermometers to schools

The Ministry of Education has opened the bidding process for the project of supplying thermometers for educational institutes and schools.

The ministry is seeking to supply 500 digital infrared thermometers to schools and has since begun the bidding process.

Local companies that are registered as Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) at the Ministry of Economic Development are eligible to submit their bids for the supply of thermometers to schools.

Individuals are required to submit their applications for the bidding process online, from Friday through Tuesday.

Further information will be forwarded via e-mail and individuals are to request for it before 2pm, June 10.

Companies are to process MVR 10,000 as bid security for the project.

The ministry has initiated the project to supply 500 digital infrared thermometers to schools at a time the ministry is also seeking to supply 12,500 bottles of hand wash to schools under the “School Wash Program” initiated by the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF).
