127 Covid-19 patients have recovered in the Maldives.
While 109 patients had recovered by Friday, authorities on Saturday announced the recovery of another 18. Out of this, three are Maldivians.
The National Emergency Operations Center (NEOC) has previously revealed that most of the recoveries recorded in the country are locals. 13 of the recoveries are the cases reported prior to the detection of a community transmission, foreigners from resorts.
Authorities have said that recovery rate is slower than anticipated, adding that it is taking an average of 17 days.
Maldives has seen a total of 1,313 Covid-19 cases thus far, with 39 new cases reported on Saturday. There have been four fatalities.
