ADK Hospital has begun investigating the death of an infant, four months of age.

In a statement, the hospital revealed that they have launched investigations into the death of the child and that their findings will be shared with the child’s family.

The four-month-old died while receiving treatment at ADK Hospital on May 21. The family has since accused the hospital of negligence, asserting that treatment was not provided for the child.

Refuting these claims, the hospital revealed that treatment was provided for the child under the recommendations provided by emergency doctors and specialists when the child was brought into the emergency room.

They has also conducted ultra sound and CT scans to identify the child’s ailment.

However, the hospital stressed that they were unable to save the child, despite the efforts from a team of children’s specialists, an emergency physician, surgical doctors as well as anesthesiologists who were active in providing treatment for the child.

Highlighting that the hospital has provided details to the family revolving around the circumstances, ADK revealed that they have launched a detailed review of the case under the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) of the hospital.
