Covid-19: VP Naseem inquires on updates of procedures to help affected individuals
The VP held online discussions with Gender Minister Aishath Mohamed Didi and other senior officials on Monday
He stressed the importance of services provided to residents under the gender ministry’s responsibility
Naseem urged all to ensure that the best care services are provided

Vice President Faisal Naseem has inquired on the ongoing procedures to provide assistance to individuals who are in need due to Covid-19.

The VP held online discussions with Gender Minister Aishath Mohamed Didi, as well as senior officials and representatives of institutes administered under the ministry, on Monday.

The President’s Office said that Naseem had clarified the latest information regarding the procedures in place to provide assistance to such individuals and highlighted the importance of ensuring social protection, at the meeting.

He also stressed the importance of services provided to residents under the gender ministry’s responsibility including orphanages Fiyavathi and Kudakudhinge Hiya as well as the Home for People with Special Needs in Guraidhoo Island.

The VP also inquired on the “planned procedure of providing services” to the resident’s living at institutes under the National Drug Agency during this pandemic.

Further, they also discussed the process of providing medication to persons suffering specific illnesses as well as how to help individuals who have been stuck in Malé after arriving for a short-term to return to their homes.

VP Naseem also praised and acknowledged the effort of all institutions working together in providing services to the public, and urged all to ensure that the best care services are provided.
