Authorities have said that recovery rate is slower than anticipated

Maldives has recorded an additional 15 Covid-19 recoveries.

At National Emergency Operations Center (NEOC)’s Covid-19 press briefing on Monday, spokesperson Mohamed Mabrook Aziz revealed that the total recoveries in the country has reached 74.

While 13 of the recoveries are the cases reported prior to the detection of a community transmission, all foreigners, the remaining are mostly Maldivians.

Authorities have said that recovery rate is slower than anticipated, adding that it is taking an average of 17 days.

While there has been 74 recoveries thus far, four Covid-19 related deaths have been reported. A total of 1,106 people have tested positive for the virus.
