A third Covid-19 related death has been confirmed in the Maldives.
The Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that an 80-year-old Maldivian male admitted at DH11 passed away at around 11:20pm on Thursday.
The deceased 80-year-old Covid-19 patient was given oxygen support from April 29th. He was the first Covid-19 patient that was hospitalized after a community spread was detected in the capital Male'.
The Covid-19 dashboard places the deceased (MAV0081) in the MHF cluster. The first Covid-19 victim from the Maldives was also a direct contact of positive case (MAV0126) who belonged to the same cluster.
