An additional Covid-19 patient has recovered in the Maldives.

The Health Protection Agency (HPA) revealed this via Twitter, adding that there are currently 498 Covid-19 patients receiving treatment.

However, it did not disclose any further details including the case number.

Maldives has reported a total of 519 Covid-19 cases thus far. While 18 have recovered, there has been one Covid-19 related death. An 83-year-old woman passed away on April 30; while her test results had come back after her death, authorities are investigating negligence claims.

Earlier on Saturday, it was revealed that the first samples taken from a patient admitted at Dharumavantha Hospital was negative. While a second round of testing is done prior to the release of Covid-19 patients, authorities had said that they were awaiting the results of this.

While this patient has been moved to DH17, there are five others hospitalized.
