Maldives Water and Sewerage Company (MWSC) has revealed that customers who sent photo images of their water meter readings when the company requested for them, will have their bills forwarded to them and customers who did not send photo images will have an accurate bill forwarded to them.
Joining RaajjeTV’s special Covid-19 coverage, the company’s Managing Director Hassan Shah revealed that all water bills for the ongoing month, as well as May will come with a 30% discount in accordance with an announcement made earlier.
Highlighting that 1,355 customers sent in meter images, Shah added that the discount will be applied to their bills as well as for customers who did not send in images.
Accurate bills will be prepared in light of the customer’s history. We will know the amount. As such, we will consider the average amount within the past three months when preparing these bills. Those who have not yet forwarded photo images of their meters have been urged to do so after contacting 105.
Despite the lockdown declared across the Greater Malé Region, MWSC’s services will proceed uninterrupted, assured Shah.
This company has halted all movements due to the situation of the current lockdown, which is due to expire on Friday.
MWSC has expressed appreciation for the kind cooperation being extended by its customers during these challenging time and has apologized for any inconveniences caused.
