15th Covid-19 case confirmed in Malé

Authorities have confirmed a 15th Covid-19 case from the capital, making it the seventh positive case within the last 24 hours.
This is the 35th confirmed case from the country.
While the government’s Covid-19 spokesperson revealed to the media that a 15th person from the capital has tested positive, after Saturday night’s press conference, he noted that this is likely a new cluster.
Health Protection Agency (HPA) confirmed the new case via Twitter, adding that they are currently working to establish “any links with current cases”. It stated that the person is being moved to an isolation facility, like the rest of the confirmed cases.
The previous cases announced on Saturday are direct contacts of previously confirmed cases.
