Covid-19: Supreme Court publicizes new protocol
The new protocol details arrangements for document submission and release, case submission and registry as well as procedures for criminal record checks.
The protocol also describes the schedule for upcoming hearings, the details of said hearings and the procedure to be followed during the hearing.
The Supreme Court will be open and accepting submissions from 10:00-14:00 on every Monday and Wednesday, for those with no or limited access to internet resources.

Maldives' Supreme Court has publicised its new protocol for the ongoing government holidays, in compliance with the state of health emergency declared to curb the spread of Covid-19 in the Maldives.

The new protocol details arrangements for document submission and release, case submission and registry as well as procedures for criminal record checks.

Further, the protocol also describes the schedule for upcoming hearings, the details of said hearings and the procedure to be followed during the hearing.

As such, the Supreme Court will be open and accepting submissions from 10:00-14:00 on every Monday and Wednesday, for those with no or limited access to internet resources.

The Maldives declared a 30-day state of health emergency on March 12th to curb the spread of Covid-19 in the country.

A total of 20 people have tested positive for Covid-19 in the country, out of which five are Maldivians. The five are all imported cases.
