President conveys condolence to the family of Commissioner General, Numan
The Commissioner General of Customs passed away on Tuesday at the age of 47, in neighboring India where he was seeking medical treatment
From the day Ahmed Numan was appointed as Commissioner General of Customs
President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has condoled the death of the Commissioner General of Customs, Ahmed Numan.
The president said that he had learnt of Numan’s passing with great sadness, and expressed condolence his family.
After learning the news, President Solih reached out to his family via phone. He also noted Numan's faithful services to the government and Maldives Customs Service.
The Commissioner General of Customs passed away on Tuesday at the age of 47, in neighboring India where he was seeking medical treatment.
Ahmed Numan was appointed as Commissioner General of Customs on 11th December 2018, shortly after President Solih took office.
He began his service to the government in 1991, as a radio technician at the Maldives Airports Authority. He also served as the chairman of Fenaka Corporation, as well as the assistant director of the State Electric Company limited.
