Divers Association of Maldives (DAM) is offering legal assistance to diving instructors that have been dismissed amidst the pandemic.
According to a press release by DAM, diving instructors have been subject to unfair dismissal, wage cuts and forced no-pay leaves due to the economic impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. Hence, the association has offered legal assistance to DAM members who have undergone any of the aforementioned conditions.
The association will be providing legal assistance under their agreement with Wisham & Co. LLP that was established on 21st July 2019.
The association goes onto urge all members to seek legal assistance immediately if they have been subject to any sort of employment difficulties due to the pandemic. Members have been asked to contact the association at 9565152 between 9-11 am or 2-6 pm.
