Government announces arrangements for undocumented workers to return home
Interested parties will be provided with the required documents and assistance by the relevant High Commission or Embassy

The Ministry of Economic Development has made arrangements for undocumented workers to return to their native countries.
The ministry stated that arrangements have been made for expatriates without valid travel documents or valid work visas to return home at the Maldives' government's expense.
As such, interested parties will be provided with the required documents and assistance by the relevant High Commission or Embassy, said the ministry.
To request valid travel documents, interested parties are instructed to send a text message with their name, passport or identification number to 7205648 and will be contacted by the ministry.
