President appoints new CEO for Villimale' Children's Shelter
The new CEO of the children's shelter is Moomina Khaleel of Haafsee, Galohu Ward, Male' City
She served on the “Health Promotion Advisory Board” in 2019 as an appointed member in addition to the Maldives Broadcasting Commission as a Commissioner.
The shelter's former CEO, Abdul Shukoor Abdul Hakeem, was relieved of his duties in January following an investigation by HRCM

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has appointed a new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for the children's shelter in Villimale', "Kudakuhdhinge Hiyaa".

The President appointed Moomina Khaleel of Haafsee, Galohu Ward, Male' City as the new CEO of the children’s shelter on Tuesday. The appointment is equal to the position of Deputy Minister in the public office hierarchy.

Prior to her appointment, she served on the “Health Promotion Advisory Board” in 2019 as an appointed member in addition to the Maldives Broadcasting Commission as a Commissioner.

Moomina was accorded the National Award of Recognition in 2014 for her contributions in the area of Sports and she is also a recipient of the Rehendi Award in 2019.

The shelter's former CEO, Abdul Shukoor Abdul Hakeem, was relieved of his duties in January following investigations by the Human Rights Commission of Maldives (HRCM). He has since been appointed the Deputy Minister of Gender, Family and Social Services.
