Confirmed Covid-19 cases in Maldives reach 11
All confirmed cases are foreigners

Maldives confirmed it’s eleventh case of Covid-19 on Sunday.
The Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that a sample taken from a foreign national from Anantara Dhigu has tested positive.
Authorities on Friday announced that a foreigner from Anantara had tested positive and a close contact was immediately moved to the Farukolhufushi isolation facility for testing and monitoring.
All 11 confirmed cases in the Maldives are foreigners from a total of four resorts; Kuredu Island Resort, Sandies Bathala Maldives, Kuramathi Island Resort and Anantara Dhigu.
Earlier on Sunday, HPA announced that the temporary monitoring measures on Anantara have been lifted after completing contact tracing. Those identified in this process have been placed under home-isolation.
Authorities are not revealing the nationalities of the confirmed patients.
One of the patients, a 70-year-old is in serious condition. He was moved to Dharumavantha Hospital in the capital, and has been placed on a ventilator. This individual’s spouse is being treated at Dharumavantha as well.
