Man injured after fire breaks out at Big Man cafe'

A man has sustained serious burns after a fire broke out at popular fast food cafe', Big Man & Co.
Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) informed the press that the fire incident at the cafe' on Chaandhanee magu was reported around 08:00 am on Monday morning.
While MNDF Fire and Rescue Service was able to control the blaze within thirty minutes of receiving the report, a Bangladeshi man sustained serious burns and is currently undergoing treatment at Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH). The fire which broke out inside the cafe's kitchen caused serious damage to the area.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, said MNDF.
