Public Housing Scheme: investigative committee seeks contact details from applicants

Eligible candidates who applied for public housing under the Hiyaa project are requested to provide contact information to the committee.

The request was made via a publication on the government gazette

The government’s investigative committee on public housing schemes has appealed on applicants under the “Hiyaa Housing Scheme” to provide their contact details.

The President’s Office made the request via a publication on the government gazette on Tuesday, which reads that eligible candidates who applied for public housing under the Hiyaa project to provide contact information to the committee.

Further, the committee noted that work is currently underway to assess the living conditions of eligible candidates prior to issuing housing units.

This is being done under five categories; H13, H12, H5, H4 and H15.

The announcement further urged eligible candidates who fall under said categories to call their hotline number 7761108 or send text messages, if they are not contacted. Calls will be received before 3pm on 11 February, revealed the committee.

The “Hiyaa” housing scheme was initially launched during the tenure of former president Abdulla Yameen and the government had even handed over the documents to the recipients.
