Celebrated National Men’s Football Team forward Mohamed Naaim has undergone a knee surgery following complicated injuries.
Naaim, 23, is currently a player of Club Eagles and has recently been celebrated as one of the first 11 players in the national team.
He attained his knee complications after an injury during a match of the Dhiraagu Dhivehi Premier League in October 2019, when Eagles beat Maziya Sports and Recreation Club 1 – 0 .
It has been confirmed that he will not be able to play for this ongoing season.
Naaim was included in the first 11 squad during the Indian Ocean Island Games (IOIG) 2019.
The young player was also included in the first 11 of the national team during the FIFA World Cup and AFC Asian Cup Joint Qualifications. However, he was unable to play in the matches against Philippines and Guam due to the knee injury.
