Ambassador of Bangladesh o the Maldives, Rear Admiral Akhtar Habib has paid a farewell call on President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih.

The meeting took place at the President’s Office, on Sunday afternoon.

During the meeting, both the president and ambassador expressed interest to bolster the existing bongs between both countries to work together in order to strengthen collaboration in areas of mutual interest for both Maldives and Bangladesh.

Having conveyed gratitude for the immense support extended to the Maldivian people during Ambassador Habib’s tenure, President Solih stated that Maldives will forever be grateful for the continuous support and assistance extended by the Bangladeshi government in several development sectors.

Solih went on to wish for the ambassador’s future endeavors to meet with success.

Also during the meeting, Ambassador Habib expressed his joy in how he was able to contribute positively for Maldives growth during his tenure.

Habib further expressed admiration to how the government of Maldives is committed to development and went on to commend its efforts to legalize undocumented expatriate workers in the country.
