Ministry contracts surveillance for road development in six islands

The Ministry of National Planning and Infrastructure has contracted a company with the surveillance of road development projects in six islands.

Contracted was Al-Habshi Consultants office, at a ceremony held at the ministry building on Tuesday.

The company is required to prepare designs for the projects as well as the Environment Impact Assessment (EIA) for all six projects along with the survey.

Islands included in the surveillance for road development projects are Kelaa island in Haa Alif atoll, Alifushi island in Raa atoll, Hulhudhuffaaru island in Raa atoll, Muli island in Meemu atoll, Gan island in Laamu atoll and Guraidhoo island in Thaa atoll.

The ministry revealed that Al-Habshi Consultants was contracted the project for MVR 3,176,164.

The project is set to be completed within 120 days, revealed the ministry. It was signed by Director General at the Planning Ministry, Fathmath Shana Farooq on behalf of the government.
