Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulla Shahid has discussed trade, investment and bilateral issues between Maldives and Poland with ambassador of the country, Adam Burakowski.

Ambassador Burakowski paid a courtesy call on the Maldives minister at the Foreign Ministry building, on Tuesday afternoon.

Discussions touched down on issues of mutual concern and significance and the pair also explored ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation in areas like trade, investment and tourism.

While Shahid took to Twitter having expressed his pleasure in having met the Ambassador for meaningful discussions, he highlighted the government’s eagerness to strengthen and enhance the diplomatic ties both countries have enjoyed for 35 years.

The meeting was joined by Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Ahmed Khaleel and Director at the Ministry, Shiuneen Rasheed.
