BML to open new service centres in the capital, next year
BML is to open an Account Opening Centre and Loan Centre in January 2020
A new Digital Branch is to be opened within the year as well
BML's CEO Tim Sawyer said that this transformation "will truly enhance the banking experience for customers"

Bank of Maldives (BM) is to open new service centres in capital Malé City next year.

The bank made the announcement on Tuesday, adding that this is in line with the bank’s “strategic focus to provide better customer service and innovative products of the highest international standards”.

As such, a new dedicated Account Opening Centre and Loan Centre are to be opened in January 2020, while a new Digital Branch is to be opened on Majeedhee Magu within the year as well.

BML said that the new Digital Branch will provide “an innovative, state-of-the-art digital banking experience to customers.” To prepare for the launching of the new centre, the bank announced that the current premises will be closed for services from 2nd February 2020.

BML’s CEO and Managing Director Tim Sawyer said that the bank “looks forward to delivering improved quality of service with the opening of the new Account Opening Centre and Loan Centre.”

The new Account Opening Centre and Loan Centre as well as the existing Customer Service Centre and Business Centre is to cater to all non-transactional services, while branch transaction services including deposits and withdrawals in Male' are to be centralized to Main Branch.
