The Bank of Maldives (BML), as part of its efforts to expand services in the outer lying atolls, has appointed the 200th addition to its cash agent network.
The agent was honored in a ceremony held at Dhiffushi of Kaafu atoll.
BML appoints cash agents, usually a retailing outlet, for islands without cash withdrawal services. Customers can use their debit cards to withdraw through the set retailer’s point of service machines.
BML’s deputy CEO Aishath Noordeen said at the event that the bank has completed its project, iniated in 2015, to create withdrawal services in every inhabited island in the country, and hopes it would prove useful for customers.
