Minister's interview session cancelled as MP fails to show for sitting

While Environment Minister Dr. Hussain Rasheed Hassan was presented to parliament on Wednesday, the interview session was cancelled as the MP that requested it failed to show up for the sitting.
Kendhoo constituency MP Ali Hussain had proposed to question the minister, on when the water and sewerage projects allocated for three islands under his constituency -in the 2019 state budget- will commence.
After commencement of Wednesday’s sitting, the speaker had announced that the interview session will not be held as the lawmaker was not in attendance.
RaajjeMV understands that the speaker had waited for about 12 minutes before making the announcement.
