Fuvahmulah City

A tourist diving off Fuvahmulah coast has died.

The 25-year-old male tourist died during a diving activity and Maldives Police Service (MPS) received the report of a tourist being rushed to Fuvahmulah Hospital a little past 10am on Monday.

Sources report that the Chinese tourist died after ending his dive and returning to the boat.

Police have launched further investigations into his death.

Another tourist, Swedish, succumbed to injuries attained after a boat capsized on Sunday evening, near Kudahuvadhoo, Dhaal atoll.

The boat capsized after hitting a reef due to choppy sea conditions.
