The harbor development project in Fulhadhoo island of Baa atoll was mobilized on Thursday.
The Ministry of National Planning and Infrastructure contracted the project to Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) at a cost of MVR 48,297,417 in July 2019.
Under the project, MTCC is tasked with dredging 51,861 cubic meters of the harbor, build quay wall measuring 108 meters, a revetment of 302 meters as well as installing mooring blocks and pavements.
Further, the project also includes installing a ramp, street lights as well as navigation lights.
MTCC earlier revealed that the company has completed 17 projects so far this year, and that never before in the company’s history has it received so many projects within such a short period.
